Description
One of the nation’s biggest names in music, a top-selling recording artist, is looking for a protégé. He sets out with three of his most trusted friends, who are also experts in the music business, to find the singer, whose debut album he will produce himself.
Play/Record is a live, daily broadcast shot entirely in a recording studio. In each episode 10 contestants perform two songs before the panel; two of the best are selected to compete in a weekly duel, the winner of which secures a place in the season finale. Throughout the show, the audience at home can interact with the experts and try to influence their decisions.
But Play/Record isn't just a talent competition. It’s a celebration of music, hosting performances from both known and upcoming artists. It’s up to the viewer how involved in the show they become, either interacting with the experts or sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying hours and hours of great music and entertainment.
